The Self-Love Challenge
February will forever be our ‘Love-fest’ and this year we’re all about self love and the love of movement. Why?
We also love to chat - and in chatting with many of you we’re hearing the pressure you’re putting on yourselves to do more for your families, to exercise more, be more present - and the list goes on. The quote ‘Love yourself first, and everything else falls into line’ really resonated with us. It is so apt - and we know is easier said than done.
We’ve heard many of you are anxious that she would be doing more to get fitter and stronger and while we love hearing this, as mums we know sometimes there’s only so much you can fit in…… I’ve had many conversations over the past few weeks about the “treading water” phase. You know - that time when you have 2 under 3 and you’re trying to work full time, or your partner is sick, you’re doing it all solo or maybe your elderly parents are unwell. Moving - getting any movement is a win when life is like this and if this is where you are - you’re probably doing great! I’ve asked more than a few clients in the last few weeks whether spending some time on themselves or relaxing might be what they need - not putting more pressure on themselves to squeeze in some hard classes!
So we want to set you up for success - help you form better habits and get you moving in a way that makes you feel good. So we’re kicking off our month of Love with a (simple) 7 day Self love challenge. Self love sometimes sounds a bit ‘ick’ we know - but for us it’s all about taking time for yourself, being kinder and more patient with yourself. We love the age old adage of ‘would you ever talk to a girlfriend the way you talk to yourself?’ or ‘What would you say to a friend in your position?’ to help reframe reality.
