Pilates reformer and Pilates tower classes in Sydney. Love Pilates in Willoughby and Beecroft (opening early 2024) offers Pilates reformer, Pilates tower and Pilates mat classes. Our boutique studios offer a range of reformer, tower and mat classes for a range of abilities, from beginners through to experienced practitioners. We also offer pregnancy Pilates reformer, postnatal Pilates reformer, pre & postnatal Pilates reformer (babies welcome) and pre & postnatal Pilates tower (babies welcome).
New to Pilates? thats ok! We all start as a beginner. If you’re after beginner Pilates classes, we offer reformer fundamentals and tower fundamentals classes which cater to beginners - or anyone wanting a slightly slower class to work on technique or less fancy choreography.
After something with a little more intensity? We offer Reformer Athletic classes which may incorporate the jumpboard and more high intensity moves and our mat based Pilates HIIT class.
Never heard of tower Pilates before? You’re not alone! There are very few Pilates studios in Sydney offering Pilates tower as well as Pilates reformer classes. Tower Pilates classes are very popular in New York and Paris. Not sure what the differences between Pilates reformer and Pilates tower are? I always explain it to clients as the difference between speaking English and French - it’s a different word but the same meaning. Tower will give you a different twist on Pilates exercises, adding variety and challenge - we also love the amazing stretch you get in a Pilates tower class!
Class offerings may vary between the studios.

Help - I’m new!
-
Don’t worry - everyone starts out a beginner! Even the teachers were beginners once.
If you are new to Pilates mat, you can join our Pilates mat class - have a chat to the teacher before class and let them know you are new.
If you are new to Pilates reformer or Pilates tower, you must start with our fundamentals classes - Reformer Fundamentals and Tower Fundamentals.
Why start with the fundamentals classes? Our Reformer Fundamentals and Tower Fundamentals classes have a slightly slower pace and less fancy choreography. This give us more time to work on technique and make sure you are learning good technique and getting the most out of the exercises. It also gives you more time to get to learn how to set up the reformer and tower.
You will still get a great workout!
If you are pregnant or postnatal - come straight to our pregnancy or pre & postnatal Pilates classes.
-
Everyone is different. Some clients choose to stay in fundamentals classes forever - they like the slightly slower pace or the times work better for them.
Everyone progresses at a different rate, but you should expect to spend at least a month in fundamentals. Have a chat to your teacher about how you’re going.
-
From 13 weeks (second trimester) onwards you must attend our pregnancy yoga and Pilates classes or pre & postnatal Pilates classes. You can do regular Pilates reformer and Pilates tower classes in your first trimester if your doctor has cleared you for exercise. If you are a Pilates beginner, we recommend coming straight to our pregnancy Pilates or pre & postnatal Pilates classes. any of our clients chose to move in to pregnancy classes before the end of their first trimester.
-
To join postnatal Pilates reformer and tower classes (or our pre & postnatal classes) you must have had your 6/8 week check with your midwife/doctor and be cleared to exercise.
If your baby is under 6 months old, or you are just returning to exercise after your baby or you physio has recommended postnatal Pilates classes - you need to attend our postnatal Pilates classes. Once you are attending classes regularly, you can discuss with your teacher whether other classes are appropriate.
-
Most of our client sare brand new to Pilates tower classes - there aren’t a lot of classes around! That’s why we offer our Tower Fundamentals class - for when you’re just starting out! We also offer pre & postnatal tower classes for our pregnant and postnatal mums - which we highly recommend for the incredible stretch! You can learn more about the Pilates tower here.
